Lineage expands cold storage footprint in Quebec with acquisitions and facility growth

Lineage, Inc., the world’s largest temperature-controlled warehouse REIT, has acquired three new cold storage facilities in Quebec, strengthening its Canadian operations and supporting growing demand for food logistics services.

Two of the acquired sites are located in Sainte-Brigide-d’Iberville and were purchased from Entrepôt Congelé 10/35 and its affiliates. The third is located in Laval. All three facilities are strategically situated to serve the North American food supply chain.

“Canada plays a vital role for food logistics in North America and globally,” said Matt Cramer, president, North America East at Lineage. “Through our recent acquisitions and ongoing investments in our existing facilities, we continue to expand our footprint to meet the needs of our customers.”

The new acquisitions bring Lineage’s Canadian portfolio to more than 30 cold storage facilities. Combined with planned expansions, the company expects to add over 13 million cubic feet of capacity and 68,335 pallet positions by mid-2026.

Lineage also broke ground on May 27 to expand its Côte de Liesse facility in Montreal, with additional projects underway at its Foothills location in Calgary and in Vaughan, Ont. The Foothills expansion will include 1,500 blast freezing pallet positions to support protein exports, while the Vaughan site will address rising demand in the Toronto market.
