CITT partners with WDAA to make logistics microcredential more accessible

The Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT) is partnering with the World Diversity and Accessibility Association (WDAA) to adapt its Canadian Transportation & Distribution Logistics Microcredential for Canadians with disabilities.

Launched publicly in late 2024, the microcredential compresses years of on-the-job learning into a curriculum designed to help learners build foundational industry competencies and advance their careers in transportation and logistics.

“CITT is thrilled about this partnership and making our professional development even more accessible,” said Pina Melchionna, president and CEO of CITT. “We know that a thriving transportation sector is one that reduces barriers for talent and fosters the best and brightest – regardless of their background or disability.

“CITT has already done work to make our courses and learning experience more accessible. With the incredible work of the WDAA team, we’re pleased to expand that accessibility even further and make a successful career in transportation and logistics more welcoming to people with disabilities. This is an initiative we’re very proud of.”

Anna Badulina, executive director of WDAA, said the organization is “proud to collaborate with CITT on adapting the Transportation Systems and Logistics Processes courses to better serve professionals with disabilities.”

“Everyone deserves the chance to learn and grow in their careers, and this partnership is a big step toward creating more inclusive opportunities in the transportation and logistics industry.”
