SCIP launches decision intelligence tools aimed at improving supply chain accountability

SCIP has launched two new decision intelligence capabilities designed to help organizations improve supply chain decision-making and manage risk.

The company said the new tools, called Optimize and Assure, are intended to help businesses clarify priorities, validate choices and strengthen confidence in decisions by using real-time supply chain data.

“Trusted data is the starting point, not the finish line,” said Andy Kohm, co-founder and CEO of SCIP. “Optimize and Assure turn that foundation into decision intelligence, surfacing risks before they materialize and recommending actions that balance margin, risk and speed, so leaders can move with confidence and defend their choices as the environment shifts.”

SCIP said Optimize continuously monitors supply chain data across sourcing, engineering, operations and sales to identify opportunities to reduce costs, lower risk and simplify complexity. The tool tracks how changes, such as supplier disruptions or shifts in demand, affect inventory, production, revenue and margins.

Assure focuses on compliance, risk and governance, monitoring vendor and part-level risks while screening transactions against global sanctions and regulatory requirements. The company said the tool helps organizations track vendor risk profiles and identify components most likely to disrupt operations.

SCIP said the two capabilities are designed to work together to support more structured decision-making, particularly as companies face greater scrutiny from regulators, customers and partners.

The tools were developed through SCIP’s work with enterprise customers and partners operating in regulated environments. The company said it collaborates with data partners including SiliconExpert to provide real-time component intelligence.

Lumentum, which produces optical and photonic products, is working with SCIP as an early adopter. The company is using the platform to manage part-level risk, compliance challenges and sourcing flexibility while integrating data across multiple business functions.

SCIP said the launch builds on growing demand from companies seeking tools that go beyond data dashboards and alerts to support operational decision-making as supply chain complexity increases.
