Wiliot has announced a strategic partnership with Databricks to run its physical AI platform and supply chain automation solutions on the Databricks platform.
As a Databricks Built-On partner, Wiliot said the collaboration will allow enterprises to ingest, manage and analyze large volumes of real-time data generated by its IoT Pixels — battery-free sensors that turn products and assets into connected data sources.
The company said integrating its platform with Databricks’ lakehouse architecture will enable customers to unify physical-world and enterprise data, allowing for faster analysis and improved operational insights.
The combined platform is designed to help organizations predict supply chain disruptions, automate inventory management and optimize cold chain logistics within a single data environment. It also enables the development of applications tied directly to physical assets.
“Running the Wiliot Physical AI platform on Databricks gives our customers the ability to operationalize physical-world data at scale,” said Adi Applebaum, Wiliot’s vice-president of product. “By aligning our platform with Databricks, Wiliot is providing customers with a robust, scalable foundation, plus advanced Wiliot solutions, for turning billions of data points into immediate, profit-driving decisions.”
Wiliot said its platform supports several supply chain applications, including inventory visibility, automated receiving, shipment verification, reusable asset tracking and temperature monitoring.
The company added that partnering with Databricks provides customers with a secure and scalable data infrastructure, while simplifying data governance and improving access to insights across business units.
Wiliot said the partnership expands its ecosystem of technology partners and supports its focus on digital transformation across retail, consumer packaged goods and logistics sectors. Major companies, including Walmart and Royal Mail, are already using its platform.
“Organizations are looking to bridge the gap between their physical operations and their digital AI strategies,” said Applebaum. “This partnership accelerates Wiliot’s mission to bring intelligence to every product and asset by combining our real-time sensing with Databricks’ powerful data engineering.”
