Fuel Transport, Kenvue launch electric truck pilot in GTA

Fuel Transport and Kenvue have launched a pilot project testing the use of an electric delivery truck on short-haul urban routes across the Greater Toronto Area.

The project, known as “Electric Loop” or eLoop, began in January 2026 and uses an electric truck on a multi-stop route in the GTA to evaluate operational performance, energy efficiency and emissions impacts in urban and cold-weather conditions.

The companies said the initiative is intended to help assess how electric freight vehicles perform in real-world delivery environments while supporting lower-emissions transportation operations.

“This is an exciting milestone and important step forward for our company,” said Fuel Transport CEO Robert Piccioni. “Thanks to support from Kenvue, we’re able to test this technology in a real-world setting, helping us better understand how it can evolve our long-term operational goals to build more flexible and future-forward solutions for our clients.”

Chris Mascella, senior director and head of supply chain Canada at Kenvue, said the partnership allows the company to explore ways to build a more resilient and sustainable transportation network.

“This pilot reflects the practical steps we’re taking to reduce emissions while continuing to reliably deliver the everyday care Canadians rely on,” Mascella said.

Kenvue manufactures consumer health brands including Tylenol, Aveeno, Listerine and Neutrogena.
