Accuristix acquires Nova Pack

OAKVILLE: Third-party logistics provider Accuristix has acquired Nova Pack Ltd, a contract packaging (co-pack), re-packaging and assembly provider.

Both companies focus exclusively on the healthcare market, said Accuristix, and the acquisition allows a broader scope of services to the Canadian healthcare marketplace.

Nova Pack specializes in over-the-counter, health and beauty, healthcare and pharmaceutical product handling. Until the acquisition, Nova Pack was a member company of Toronto-based Hughes Group.

“This is the start of a strong, fully integrated partnership that will offer our healthcare clients enhanced logistics and services to support distribution and marketing efforts to their customers,” said James Houghton, Nova Pack president. “We also look forward to growing our relationship with the Hughes Group partners and continuing to incorporate their unique capabilities into our solutions.”

Accuristix services manufacturers of pharmaceutical products, medical devices, surgical products and equipment, natural health, consumer health and cosmetic products. The company operates four distribution centres in the GTA, others in Vancouver, and Los Angeles, with Calgary and Montreal facilities opening early this year.
