Toyota chooses Canadian-based supply chain planning system

OTTAWA — Kinaxis Inc, provider of RapidResponse, a cloud-based supply chain management solution based on concurrent planning, has landed a contact to manage Toyota Motor Corporation’s automotive demand and supply chain processes.
Headquartered in Japan, Toyota, one of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers, will replace its manual planning systems with RapidResponse to unify the company’s global demand and supply planning between its sales and production divisions, and to help better manage vehicle and unit volume.

RapidResponse will help us unify sales and production and will become the foundation upon which we can continue to realize improvement in demand and supply planning,” said Iwao Nakano, general manager corporate IT division at Toyota.
