Kuehne & Nagel opens new logistics facility in Guadalajara, Jalisco

Kuehne & Nagel de Mexico S. de R.L. has inaugurated its new logistics facility in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The logistics centre provides 10,000 square meters warehouse space and demonstrates state-of the art warehouse management systems and technology, says the company.

Kuehne & Nagel opened the centre to address growing business demand for contract logistics and supply chain management solutions in Mexico’s “Silicon Valley” of Guadalajara, a strategic manufacturing region of the high-tech industry.

“This new facility underlines Kuehne & Nagel’s commitment to this region. As a result of the acquisition of USCO Logistics and VIA Virtual Integration Associates Inc. we are able to offer the complete range of logistics services to our customers, meeting their requirements for solutions to reduce costs and to optimise complex supply chains,” says Ferdinand Kurt, Managing Director of Kuehne & Nagel Mexico.

The new logistics centre is equipped with all standard security features, as well as a temperature-controlled area of 400 square meters for temperature sensitive products. The location adds to Kuehne & Nagel’s North American network of more than 80 dedicated and shared logistics centres, primarily tailored to the high tech, pharmaceutical, and retail industry.
