Pitney Bowes acquisition marks first step in aggressive growth strategy —

Pitney Bowes Canada, a provider of mail and document management solutions, has acquired Mailing Innovations Ltd., of Mississauga, Ont.

 Mailing Innovations is a reseller of mail creation and handling equipment. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition makes Pitney Bowes the leading provider of mail-creation products and services in Canada, increasing the company’s market reach in this area.

Mailing Innovations will continue to operate as a separate business, a subsidiary of Pitney Bowes Canada, under the management of Herb Kemp, General Manager. Mr. Kemp will report directly into Pitney Bowes Canada.
