New aviation group, OPUS, launched

A team of senior executives from the former Canada 3000 Airlines has created a new aviation group, OPUS Canada Holdings Corp., which will be based in Toronto near Lester B. Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Ontario.

Among other holdings, OPUS will consist of an agency for the sale of cargo and a bonded cargo warehouse, OPUS Cargo Sales, Inc. and OPUS Cargo Services, Inc., respectively.

Colin G. Tubb, former senior vice president of Canada 3000, with over 30 years of aviation experience, will head the company.

“Airline providers continue to run their operation with outdated technology and archaic management styles, offering little or no flexibility for change. By redefining the meaning of service, we will continually ‘raise the bar’, something that we feel Canadians are thriving for in our industry,” said Tubb.
