Fraser-Surrey Docks (FSD) has announced that it will begin requiring Port Passes (photo identification cards) for truck drivers and all other personnel requiring access to its facility beginning July 1, 2004.
This date coincides with the anticipated implementation date of new federal marine security regulations.
Port Passes were developed by the Vancouver Port Authority (VPA) for access to its facilities and are issued to truck drivers by BCTA.
The cost of a five-year Pass is $30, tax-inclusive, for BCTA member drivers and $45, tax-inclusive, for non-BCTA member drivers.
The Passes are not company-specific
