Air Canada Cargo has launched a new cargo product line-up which the airline says is more streamlined and easier to use.
“With so many exciting new cargo initiatives being introduced this year, it was time to update our products and give them a fresh new look. We looked at the global cargo market, listened to customer feedback and developed a product line that is easy to use and easily identified in the marketplace,” said Gerry Simpson, Manager, Cargo Marketing and Sales Support.
AC Expedair is the new name for Air Canada’s premium cargo product within Canada. Formerly known as Express30, Expedair offers airport-to-airport service from dedicated acceptance and retrieval counters located at most passenger terminal buildings across the country.
AC Priority handles Express 60 and Express 90-t products in North America and Express 90-i international products. AC Priority is Air Canads’ guaranteed premium service providing tender and retrieval times of 120 minutes for shipments of all sizes. On May 1, Air Canada will extend the AC Priority International service to more destination points and add more connections throughout the global network.
AC Air Freight has a new look, says the airline, but the product remains the same with no change to current operational procedures. Air Freight shipments are accepted at all Cargo terminals and will move on the first available flight.
AC Live is the new name for the transportation of live animals, AC DGR is the service handling dangerous goods, AC Fresh handles perishables, AC Secure handles valuable cargo. AC Compassion also provides shipping services for bereavement situations.
