MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Panasonic Canada has announced the Canadian availability of three enterprise-grade Toughpad tablets, including the FZ-G1, a ten-inch model using the Windows 8 Pro operating system (or Windows 7 Pro through downgrade rights), and two Android-based tablets; the seven-inch JT-B1 and the ten-inch FZ-A1. The tablets are designed for those who need mobile access to mission-critical data even when working in adverse conditions.
“These new models of the Toughpad fully establish Panasonic’s leadership role as the maker of the most rugged and reliable mobile computing devices available in today’s business marketplace,” said Susan Black, Director Sales and Marketing, Computer, and AV solutions, Panasonic Canada Inc. “Whether you are working in the field or managing a fast-paced logistics centre, Panasonic Toughpads are the ideal solution for mobile staff.”
The FZ-G1, FZ-A1 and JT-B1 are fully customizable tablets, with options to add integrated 4G LTE mobile broadband, and barcode reading technologies. The Windows 8-based FZ-G1 also includes the option to add an additional USB port, a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port, a smart card reader, a serial port (key for field service applications), or a larger solid-state drive. Hardware encryption, root protection and FIPS compliance are available in various configurations of the Toughpads for enterprise level security.
All three Toughpads have industry leading MIL-STD-810G durability certification, and have been tested for drops, fluid ingress and temperature to assure it delivers reliable performance under circumstances that render typical tablets non-operational. They also feature daylight viewable screens, replaceable batteries, and multiple options for peripheral connectivity.
