Canadian AI firm Vooban has created two new divisions aimed at accelerating adoption of artificial intelligence while keeping Canadian businesses secure.

Vooban Labs, an internal research lab, will focus on developing AI agents, autonomous digital colleagues that can interpret data, make decisions and collaborate on complex tasks. CEO Kevin Moore said the company has already built a multi-agent system that “has already transformed how we design and develop software and AI models. The impact was so significant that we now want our clients to benefit from it, and we plan to commercialize it within the next year.”

Vooban is investing several million dollars over the next three years in Labs, appointing Carl Chouinard as CEO and Erin Kearns as chief operating officer.

The second division, Vooban Cyber, will focus on cybersecurity for AI projects, models and multi-agent systems.

CEO Samuel Bonneau said the division will integrate security at every stage of its AI solutions’ lifecycle, from design to day-to-day operations, helping clients prepare for attacks, strengthen practices, obtain certifications and automate defenses.
