Jamie Wiltse, district manager of the Alberta and Saskatchewan region for Expeditors Canada Inc. has won the 2021 Donna Letterio Leadership Award.

CIFFA, the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association, introduced the award in December 2015. It is granted annually in memory of former CIFFA president Donna Letterio, who died in August 2013.

The award recognizes a woman in the global freight logistics sector who has demonstrated, as Donna did, professionalism, commitment, leadership and a passion for excellence in her career and in her life. CIFFA will send a $1,000 cheque to Bladder Cancer Canada in Wiltse’s name.

Wiltse joined Expeditors in 2003 from the domestic cargo industry. She started in a desk level position as the fourth employee of the Calgary branch.

Since then she has progressed through all levels of branch operations to take a leadership role as district manager in 2017. She now manages a staff of 40. Wiltse has strong interpersonal and leadership skills and is well recognized in the organization for her skill at developing the business and her people and has done so while raising a busy family. Her hard work, leadership skill, integrity and commitment to our industry make her an ideal candidate for this award.

“CIFFA is very proud to continue with this very prestigious award, recognizing women of influence in our industry, which will also inspire the next generation of women leaders. We are very pleased to present this award to Jamie, who exhibited all the qualities that the award represents,” said Bruce Rodgers, executive director of CIFFA.
