Manitoulin Transport

Manitoulin Transport ranked No. 1 in Mastio & Company’s 2023 edition of the Canadian national less-than-truckload (LTL) customer value and loyalty study. The study ranked Manitoulin Transport as the top carrier out of 360 carriers. Industry were surveyed about qualities pertaining to trustworthiness, ease of doing business, problem resolution, billing accuracy, shipments picked up when promised, claims process, and proactive communication. The 2023 study findings are based on interviews with 887 customers, 2,600 observations, approximately 360 carriers, and 5,400 qualitative responses to several open-ended questions about individual companies. The interviews were conducted by telephone with key decision-makers beginning in late February and ending in May 2023.

OTTO Motors

CEO and co-founder of OTTO Motors, Matt Rendall, is a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2023 Award. Starting over fourteen years ago, Rendall grew a university robotics project into an industrial automation company with over 350 employees. Under his leadership, OTTO Motors was named to Fast Company’s 2023 list of Most Innovative Companies and he continues to launch mobile robot deployments.

Gabriela Transportation & CH Logistics Corp.

Gabriela Transportation of Kitchener, Ontario and CH Logistics Corp. based in Brampton, Ontario are winners of C.H. Robinson‘s 2023 Carrier of the Year Awards. Selected from the company’s network of 96,000 contract carriers, this program recognizes 23 carriers that stood out for exceptional quality and reliability of service, operational excellence, and adoption of technology to enhance overall efficiencies and performance. This is the first year C.H Robinson introduced new cross-border categories including high-performing winners from Canada and Mexico.   

Yale

Yale Lift Truck Technologies won a silver trophy at the 2023 Edison Awards for its operator assistance system, Yale Reliant. The Edison Awards honour some of the most innovative products and business leaders in the world. The Yale Reliant solution uses multiple detection technologies to monitor the environment and the status of the lift truck and load. It can provide warnings and assist with operator awareness by proactively reducing truck speed if it detects something in the monitored area, such as obstacles, other trucks or pedestrians.
