Schneider Electric has retained its No. 1 spot in Gartner Inc.’s 2025 Global Supply Chain Top 25, with NVIDIA moving up to second place in the annual rankings of top-performing global supply chains.
“This year, leaders are differentiating themselves from the pack by integrating the latest AI, developing autonomous operations and stewarding resources,” said Simon Bailey, VP analyst with the Gartner Supply Chain practice. “Leading supply chains clearly tie sustainability to fundamental business outcomes, such as cost optimization, and risk mitigation. As a result, we are seeing many examples of water stewardship and circular innovation.”
Schneider Electric launched a new three-year transformation program focused on people, planet, customers and performance. The company has made significant progress in industrial automation and advanced technologies, including AI.
“Schneider Electric’s innovative culture has embraced AI in a manner that embraces employee ideas for use cases, with guidance from supply chain leaders on the highest priority areas to apply the technology for customer, revenue and productivity gains,” said Bailey.
Gartner also recognized Amazon, Apple, Procter & Gamble and Unilever in its Masters category, which honours companies achieving top composite scores for at least seven of the past 10 years.
This year’s Top 25 companies demonstrated leadership in three key trends: agentic AI, autonomous operations and water stewardship. Agentic AI builds on generative AI by enabling autonomous decision-making and execution, while autonomous operations go beyond basic automation to synchronize complex supply chain activities.
Water stewardship has also emerged as a defining trait of top performers, with companies embedding water management into strategic decisions to enhance sustainability and operational resilience.
