Supply Chain Canada to honour immigrants

TORONTO – Supply Chain Canada has launched a new award recognizing the contributions of immigrants in Canadian supply chain.
The new award, Canadian Immigrants Impacting Supply Chain, is now open for nominations.
It will celebrate Canadian immigrants who elevate the supply chain profession and industry, inspire their community and strengthen the country at large; they are important contributors and role models to others in supply chain. The award is looking for a Canadian immigrant employed in, or studying supply chain, who has demonstrated pioneering spirit and visionary leadership.
The award was launched on International Migrants Day, December 18th, 2019, and nominations close on March 18th, 2020.
Immigrants can be nominated by their employer, or by their Dean, Provost or President if they are a student. Those who own their own business must be nominated by the Board Chair, or in their absence, an appropriate industry peer.
To be eligible immigrants:
A Selection Committee, comprising prominent leaders in Canadian supply chain, will meet in April to decide who will be on the list.
The official list of Canadian Immigrants Impacting Supply Chain will be publicly announced in mid-May 2020.
