Sant’Antonino, Switzerland—Interroll, a global provider of products and solutions for internal logistics, is strengthening its international activities by also offering its product portfolio in Russia through the LLC Trading House “Kifato MK” (The Trading House) in Moscow.

The companies signed a cooperation agreement at CeMAT in Hanover on exclusive sales of Interroll’s flow storage solutions in Russia and Kazakhstan. Trading House “Kifato MK” will also offer the Interroll product range in the areas of conveyor rollers, motors and drives for conveyor systems, as well as conveyors and sorters, but on a non-exclusive basis.

“We consider Russia to be an attractive market in which we were only present with our products on a project basis in the past. The Trading House “Kifato MK” has many years of expertise on the racking system market and this cooperation will help us to further expand our sales capacities there. Finding a partner who already has a strong market position and excellent contacts within the Russian market was important to us,” explained Dr. Christoph Reinkemeier, Executive Vice President Global Sales & Services at Interroll, in commenting on the new cooperation.

The founder of the Trading House “Kifato MK”, Davit Manukyan, added: “We were looking for a strong and reliable partner in order to be able to offer a wider range of products in Russia and Kazakhstan. The Interroll brand has an excellent reputation on the Russian market and we are convinced that we will be able to offer our customers added value with high-quality Interroll products.”

The Trading House specializes in “turnkey” project management of various types of racking systems for warehouses. The company is the main trading and installation partner for Kifato MK, the largest manufacturer of racking systems in Russia and one of the five largest racking systems companies in Europe with 90,000 sqm of production space, and the highest and newest level of European and Japanese machinery. Kifato MK is capable of producing up to 1,500,000 pallet places in racking systems per year. Half of the racking systems that Kifato manufactures are exported to Europe. The other 50 percent is exported to Europe to meet the high demand of international companies that are active in Russia such as FM Logistic, Adidas, Avalon Logistics, Iron Mountain, Henkel, Hilti, Metro Cash & Carry, OBI, and Gazprom Oil.

Kifato’s production received a safety certificate from TÜV Rheinland and is an official member of the European Federation of Materials Handling (FEM).
