Phoenix Conveyor Belt Systems launches in NAFTA
FAIRLAWN, Ohio—On January 30, international automotive supplier and industrial partner Continental concluded its acquisition of the U.S. industrial rubber company Veyance Technologies Inc, of Fairlawn, Ohio. The Goodyear Engineered Products Conveyor Belt mining brand, in the North American region, is now branded Phoenix Conveyor Belt Systems.
The new business will be an important part of the global Phoenix conveyor belt portfolio.
“Phoenix has always been a pioneer and industry leader in the development and manufacture of conveyor belts, bringing over 100 years worth of experience to the market,” said Bret Hall, who oversees the mining business in the NAFTA region. “The company is recognized worldwide as a specialist in providing customized solutions for highly complex applications. We are now joining forces with Veyance’s Conveyor Belt Mining business which has also been in the mining industry for 100 years.”
Phoenix has produced conveyor belts, that include world records such as the strongest belts, both textile and steel cord, the steepest overland, and the world’s heaviest belt. The brand serves the worldwide bulk material handling industry from international production facilities.
