Cooper Tire moving to bigger Indiana DC

FINDLAY, Ohio – Cooper Tire & Rubber Company will open a new one million-square-foot regional distribution centre in Whiteland, Indiana.

The facility is minutes from the company’s current Franklin, Indiana warehouse, which it will replace. All the existing employees are expected to move to the new location.

The Whiteland facility is currently under construction and is expected to open in early 2021. It will provide increased capacity for product storage and a modern design for enhanced efficiencies.

“We are excited to build a larger regional distribution centre in this key location to ensure we continue to provide our customers with exceptional service through enhanced logistics capabilities,” said Mike Calabro, executive director – North America Supply Chain for Cooper Tire.

“Further, the dedicated workforce at the facility will remain in place, meaning we will be able to quickly transition to this new location with no interruption in the timely delivery of our products to customers.”

The Whiteland DC will be one of six regional facilities operated by Cooper in the U.S.

The company’s North America distribution network also includes three plant manufacturing warehouses and two mixing warehouses.
