Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is launching its digital express airfreight platform, HEX, in Canada and the United States by the end of June as part of a global rollout aimed at streamlining international express shipping for small and medium-sized businesses.
HEX, short for Hellmann Express Airfreight, consolidates global courier shipments through a centralized, digitally connected platform that provides real-time tracking, simplified booking, invoicing and detailed analytics. The service is particularly positioned to benefit cross-border importers amid recent U.S. customs policy changes, with customs clearance handled by express carriers.
“HEX offers our customers an innovative solution that combines cost savings, reliability and excellent customer service,” says Timo Schamber, global airfreight vice-president at Hellmann. “Our collaboration with Shipsy enables us to deliver a single platform that significantly simplifies and streamlines the entire shipping process. The cross-carrier customer service benefit is especially notable in the volatile and often fragmented courier and express services sector, where customers can use a single, dedicated contact person for all their needs.”
Built in partnership with logistics software provider Shipsy, the platform is designed to give businesses access to globally negotiated terms without requiring individual contracts with courier, express and parcel providers.
“At Shipsy, our core mission is to simplify and streamline global logistics,” adds Soham Chokshi, Shipsy’s co-founder and CEO. “By integrating our capabilities into Hellmann’s Express product, HEX, we are not only enhancing visibility and control across the shipment lifecycle but also ensuring seamless coordination across multiple geographies and stakeholders.”
Following earlier launches in Germany, the U.K. and Ireland, Hellmann plans to expand HEX into additional markets across the Americas, Asia-Pacific, IMEA and Europe, with a goal of reaching 50 countries by the end of 2026.
