
Canadian Pacific Railway says one of its trains derailed in southern Saskatchewan on Saturday.
An email from the railway says the freight train, which was hauling corn, derailed at around 6:30 a.m. local time near Drinkwater, Sask.
It says there were no injuries and no public safety concerns.
The railway says Canadian Pacific teams immediately responded to the site.
The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.
The village is approximately 35 km southwest of Regina.
