New Ontario distribution centre to improve health care supply chain

Cardinal Health opened its new distribution centre in Concord, Ont., June 11, a 163,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility that will be providing supplies to hospitals across the Greater Toronto Area.

The advanced distribution centre is a critical part of Cardinal Health Canada’s ongoing effort to strengthen the Canadian supply chain in health care. It’s the first facility fully dedicated to Cardinal Health’s ValueLink logistics service that provides streamlined health-care facilities, unit-specific orders and features robotic technology to maximize efficiencies.

ValueLink is an advanced distribution solution providing unit-specific orders to meet customer needs. Rather than supplying in bulk, ValueLink provides data-driven analytics on actual usage so that orders are placed in the appropriate unit of measure, picked and delivered in totes and carts for each department or supply rooms in our customers’ facilities.
