CITT launches sustainability microcredential for logistics sector

Canada’s Logistics Association – CITT has publicly launched its Environmental Sustainability in Canadian Logistics microcredential, an online suite of three courses aimed at building sustainability skills in the transportation and distribution sectors.

Developed by subject-matter experts and with funding from the federal government, the program was first piloted in 2024 and is now open to individuals and teams. Each course is offered on demand, allowing learners to start at their convenience.

Introduction to Sustainability in Transportation and Distribution, Sustainability Challenges and Solutions in Transportation and Distribution and Technologies Supporting Sustainability in Transportation and Distribution

The three courses— Introduction to Sustainability in Transportation and Distribution, Sustainability Challenges and Solutions in Transportation and Distribution and Technologies Supporting Sustainability in Transportation and Distribution—can be taken separately or as a full program, leading to a microcredential.

“Almost as soon as we piloted these courses we knew they had to be made available to the wider industry,” said Pina Melchionna, president and CEO of CITT. “Environmental sustainability in logistics is vital to CITT’s mandate and the future of business in Canada.”
