Lazer Logistics says its electric vehicle yard operations have surpassed three million zero-emission miles, marking a milestone in the company’s push to electrify supply chain yard logistics across the U.S. and Canada.
The company said the milestone reflects the scale of its Electric Vehicle Spotter Program and growing momentum to replace diesel-powered yard trucks with battery-electric Class 8 vehicles. Lazer Logistics said its program has delivered financial and sustainability benefits for customers, including fuel savings, efficiency gains and reduced emissions.
“Crossing the three-million-mile mark demonstrates what is possible when innovation and commitment move together,” said Adam Newsome, CEO of Lazer Logistics. “Our zero-emission fleet is redefining how yard operations contribute to supply chains.”
Lazer Logistics said its electric fleet has logged more than 1.25 million operating hours, completed more than six million zero-emission spotting moves, saved more than 1.5 million gallons of diesel fuel and avoided more than 32 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions. The company said those gains have translated into more than $5 million in avoided fuel costs.
“Our yard electrification program continues to deliver millions of dollars in fuel and efficiency savings to our customers across the United States and Canada,” said Chris Bennett, vice-president of EV, energy and sustainability at Lazer Logistics. “We have proven, through more than three million miles of Class 8EV truck operations, that electrifying the yard supercharges our customers’ profits. We are accelerating our EV deployments with forward-thinking partners and expect even greater milestones in 2026 and beyond.”
The company said its electrification model includes vehicle procurement and ownership, operations and maintenance, charging infrastructure and grant management, allowing customers to transition to zero-emission yard operations while meeting operational and sustainability goals.
