The Laurier Institute, Laurier School of Business & Economics and SCL Canada will be presenting their next executive program, Essentials of Supply Chain Management, this November.
The event, scheduled for November 7 12 (Sunday 4:00 p.m. to Friday 1:00 p.m.) at the Holiday Inn Select, Toronto Airport, is designed to help develop supply chain and logistics skills.
"So many people have a depth of knowledge in one area and we really look at bringing forward the areas they may not have as much competency in so they develop a full awareness of the supply chain. We are looking to create a more well-rounded supply chain manager," says Frances Humphreys, coordinator of the program.
Frances adds the program also provides many networking opportunities.
"What we’ve found is that the participants all bring such a wealth of knowledge, and they are usually from such different areas and companies, that there is a lot of time spent networking. Business comes out of contacts from the program. So many of these people have the same problems and end up sharing their expertise," she says.
