Saskatchewan Transportation Week is going nationwide. In response to possible postponement of the event due to Covid-19, CITT – the hosts and organizers of the event – have transitioned the learning sessions, exhibitor booths, and networking to an entirely virtual platform.
“Clearly, in-person events and conferences have to be rethought in a time of social distancing” said Pina Melchionna, CITT’s president and CEO.
“But professional development and connecting with industry peers is more important than ever right now. There are so many interesting and vital conversations for people in transportation and logistics to have – and sharing knowledge is key for weathering the storm we’re all facing.”
“That’s why we’re pleased to make the event accessible to everyone in the industry, across Canada, by running Saskatchewan Transportation Week online” Melchionna continued.
“The learning program itself is relevant to professionals everywhere. And the top-of-the-line platform we’re using will enable online networking via video chat, gamification to keep delegates engaged, and other compelling features. We think attendees will be very pleased with the entire online experience.”
The event runs across four days – June 15, 17, 19, and 22 – from 2:00 – 4:00 EST (12:00-2:00 PM CST) each day. The days will feature an online learning session presentation, followed by breakout rooms with opportunities for networking via video chat, or by exchanging information to connect later. Registration for all four days is $89.99, or $69.99 for CITT members and students, and is available here.
