HOUSTON: The non-profit management association Supply Chain Council (SCC) will hold two of its annual events simultaneously, a move the organization said will allow attendees to benefit from more seminars while reducing travel costs. By combining the Global User Meeting with Supply Chain World North America, SCC said attendees can also access the latest council updates and gain insight on supply industry trends and practices. The conference will take place April 2 to 4 in Miami.

The first day will focus on developments concerning the supply chain operations reference (SCOR) model—and advancement and integration of related frameworks—as well as interactive sessions on topics related to framework development. The day will include the presentation of the global winner of the SCC Supply Chain Excellence Awards.

The conference segment, Supply Chain World North America, will expand to supply chain topics beyond the SCC frameworks into areas requested by supply chain professionals. The theme will be Taking Supply Chains to the Next Level—A Shift to Integrative Thinking. Topics will include customer satisfaction, operational excellence, people and resilience.

Don Wirth, vice-president, corporate supply chains at DuPont, will act as keynote speaker for Supply Chain World North America. Additional information is on the conference website.
