CMA CGM Group announce peak season surcharges for Canada and U.S.

CMA CGM Group has announced a peak season surcharge (PSS) effective March 1, affecting shipments from North Europe to Canada and the U.S. East Coast.
The surcharge applies to all cargo, excluding out-of-gauge (OOG) shipments, from ports across North Europe, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltic region and Northern Spain (Bilbao, Gijon). Portugal is excluded from the origin range.
For dry cargo, the surcharge will be US$900 per 20-foot container and US$1,000 per 40-foot/40-foot HC/45-foot container. Reefer containers will incur a surcharge of US$1,350 per 20-foot and US$1,500 per 40-foot/45-foot.
This increase will affect shipments to the U.S. East Coast, U.S. West Coast, U.S. Gulf and inland destinations via these ports, as well as Canada’s East Coast and Mexico’s East Coast.
The surcharge will remain in effect until further notice.
