Groupe Morneau opens new Bolton terminal

Groupe Morneau has officially opened a new 80,000-square-foot terminal in Bolton, bringing its three divisions — Morneau GEO, Morneau BOREA and Morneau GLOBAL — under one roof and employing more than 200 people.

The facility marks a key milestone in the Quebec-based company’s expansion across Canada and reinforces its commitment to Ontario as part of its long-term growth strategy.

“This inauguration is much more than the opening of a building. It is a symbol of trust, ambition, and shared commitment,” said Catherine and David Morneau, co-presidents of Groupe Morneau. “Our arrival in Ontario was a significant chapter in our story, and today, we are here to build the future together with our collaborators, clients, partners and the local community.”

Morneau first began operations at the Bolton site in April 2024 as a tenant and has since purchased the property. The new terminal features 51 dock doors and shared infrastructure for the company’s transport, refrigerated storage and logistics operations.

Located along a major Ontario highway corridor, the site will strengthen Groupe Morneau’s national logistics network, reduce transit times and enhance its service capacity in one of Canada’s busiest economic regions.

Caledon Mayor Annette Groves welcomed the investment, saying, “On behalf of the Town of Caledon, I’m proud to welcome Groupe Morneau to our growing business community. This new terminal represents more than an investment in logistics—it reflects a shared commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth.”

The company said the new facility will contribute to local economic development, create quality jobs and foster partnerships within the region.
