IMC Logistics says it will open a marine drayage operation in Toronto in 2026, marking the company’s first expansion outside the United States.
The company said the Toronto location will support freight movement between the U.S. and Canada while also providing domestic marine drayage within Canada. IMC said the expansion is part of a long-term strategy to enhance end-to-end service for customers operating in both markets.
“This expansion is part of an effort to better support Canadian shippers who are broadening their sourcing strategies to stay competitive,” said Joel Henry, chief executive officer for IMC. “The resulting rise in containerized volumes positions IMC to deepen its partnerships with current customers and capitalize on new growth opportunities.”
IMC said the Toronto operation is expected to be fully operational in the second quarter of 2026, with further details to be shared as the project progresses.
