KWE opens Guelph facility

KWE Canada has commenced full-scale operations at its its new logistics centre in Guelph, Ontario.

The facility includes 145,000sqf of warehouse space, with room to expand to up to 250,000sqf.

It was designed largely to provide customized third-party logistics services—including vendor-managed inventory and integrated distribution—for customers in the automotive and high-tech industries.

The opening brings the total number of KWE facilities in Canada to six. The company currently operates three other distribution centres in Ontario (in Mississauga, Milton and Halton Hills), one in Quebec (in Montreal) and one in British Columbia (Vancouver).

KWE Canada broke ground on the new facility late in the summer of 2009.
