Waterloo, Ontario—Dr. Michael Haughton has been selected as the inaugural CN Fellow in Supply Chain Management, at the School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University (Laurier) in Waterloo, Ontario.
The CN Fellowship is a three-year appointment responsible for outreach, research and curriculum development, made possible by a generous donation from CN.

“I have every confidence that Professor Michael Haughton will be outstanding in this role,” said Micheal Kelly, Dean, School of Business & Economics at Laurier. “His impressive research record examining issues of managing transportation, logistics and supply-chain operations and his impressive academic credentials make him the ideal candidate for this position.”
In this new role, Haughton will foster outreach, teaching, curriculum development and research in supply chain management. He will also serve as a consultant to CN on current issues, enabling closer partnership on research activities and trends between CN, researchers, and students.
Haughton teaches transportation management and supply chain management in the Operations and Decisions Sciences area of the School of Business & Economics at Laurier. He received a bachelor of science in economics and accounting from University of West Indies, and master’s of science and doctorate from Pennsylvania State University.
