Surplus shipping containers find a home

Charlotte, NC—Boxman Studios is a North Carolina-based company that re-purposes decommissioned shipping containers, turning them into mobile, environmentally friendly venues that are completely customizable and perfectly suited for everything from hospitality to retail, and real estate to restaurants.

From a production facility in Charlotte, NC, the company fabricates containers for a variety of market specifications. Hospitality venues can accommodate up to 30 guests in 500 square feet of covered space, showcase a double-sided bar and are outfitted with bamboo flooring, LED lighting, and AC power.

The company also offers tradeshow booths and custom constructions for festivals and auto shows.

Building innovative and portable spaces from old containers is not a new idea, but Boxman founder and real estate investor David Campbell saw the opportunity to turn containers into cash.

The company has a long list of notable clients including BMW, adidas, Google, NOS, Fiat, Porsche and many more global brands.
