MISSISSAUGA: The Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council (CSCSC) has launched four video profiles showcasing roles in different areas of the supply chain. The videos feature people who are passionate about their work, said the CSCSC, while their stories tell of their career paths and job responsibilities and reveal the enthusiasm they feel for their professions. The videos focus on four key components of the supply chain presented through profiles of people working in those areas.

Featured in the videos are: Serge Faucher executive director of Les entreprises Dupont 1972 Inc (transportation and logistics); Brent Ellis, director, commercial warehouses at Wills Transfer Limited (warehousing and distribution); Melinda Nycholat, director, contract services, Defence Construction Canada (sourcing/procurement); and Pierre Massicotte, senior vice-president, operations at L’OrĂ©al Canada (supply chain management).

Along with looking at the work the people do on a day-to-day basis, the profiles provide their perspectives on the importance of supply chain roles within their organizations and of the sector to the Canadian economy. They also offer observations related to how job-seekers might enter the sector and advance within it.
