Appointments, promotions, moves and changes in the supply chain sector this week

The American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) elected William D. Friedman, president and chief executive officer for Northeast Ohio’s Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority, to serve as the association’s chairman of the board for the 2018-19 activity year that begins in October. He will assume the AAPA chairmanship from Steve Cernak, chief executive and port director for Broward County, Fla.’s Port Everglades. Friedman has worked in port authority management for nearly two decades. Between 2000 and 2004, he was CEO of the Ports of Indiana, and before that he spent 10 years with the Port of Seattle serving in a variety of management roles, including director of seaport strategic planning, general manager of cargo piers and industrial properties, and senior harbor development planner

Dan Costantino has joined Beemac Logistics, a full-service transportation and logistics provider, as vice-president of national account solutions. Costantino will be responsible for developing and overseeing Beemac’s managed transportation solutions as well as the company’s strategic growth into National Accounts. He has substantial experience in the transportation and logistics industry, having spent over 17 years in various leadership roles helping customers reduce costs, improve service and enhance quality across supply chains.

Industry veteran Ray Greer has joined Omnitracs as CEO. He takes over from John Graham who served as Omnitracs CEO since 2013. Greer has over 25 years of industry experience and has held senior leadership roles with Greatwide Logistics Services, Newgistics, Ryder Logistics and FedEx. Most recently he served as president of BNSF Logistics.

PartsSource has appointed four new members to its executive team. Appointments include Mike Maguire, senior vice-president and chief supply chain officer; Guy Mansueto, senior vice-president and chief marketing officer; Mara Paré, senior director, client solutions; and Mike Poling, vice-president, GPO and affiliate networks. Maguire, a healthcare supply chain expert previously vice-president of strategic sourcing for the group purchasing division at Premier, Inc., will lead PartsSource’s supply chain and quality team. Mansueto was previously vice-president, portfolio management at IBM Watson Health. Paré was previously operations leader of clinical engineering services at Allina Health and UHS. Poling joins PartsSource from Premier, Inc., where he served as a regional vice-president focused on total cost management and quality. He has more than 20 years of experience in software-led supply chain transformation.
