Who’s on the move this week?

Each week, MM&D online will feature a roundup of some of the new appointments and position changes within the transportation and materials handling fields.

David Hanley has joined MIQ Logistics’ sales team as director of business development. Hanley is based in Coppell, Texas, and is responsible for strategic account development and new business efforts. Before joining the company, Hanley was senior director of business development for the cargo security company FreightWatch International. He has experience in the high tech and consumer electronics industry and was CEO of Triangle Services prior to its acquisition by Ryder Integrated Logistics.

The Cavalier Transportation Group has appointed Rick Brooks as vice-president of business development. Based in Buffalo, New York, Brooks will manage select corporate accounts and develop new opportunities for Cavalier. Brooks recently held the position of senior VP of sales for an expedited carrier. He has held senior management roles with USFreightways, CP Express and Intercity Truck Lines. Brooks will report to Brian Ledson, executive vice-president, sales & marketing for the Cavalier Transportation Group.
