Who’s on the move this week?

Each week, MM&D features a roundup of new appointments and position changes within the supply chain sector.

Douglas Harrison has been named president of Day & Ross General Freight. Harrison was previously president of Calyx Transportation Group. Before that he was president of Acklands-Grainger and vice-president and managing Director at Ryder Integrated Logistics, where he was responsible for Ryder’s Canadian and European logistics organizations. He is a member of the MM&D editorial advisory board and has served on a number of corporate boards and is a member of the board of directors of Horizon Utilities, the Conference Board of Canada and Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology.

William Cikos has been appointed as director of finance and administration at Purolator International. Cikos will oversee all financial aspects of the global services organization. In his new role with Purolator International, William Cikos will concentrate on strategic planning and analysis reporting and assume all aspects of financial control, budgeting and administrative support for the company. Prior to joining Purolator, Cikos spent 14 years at Estee Lauder Companies, Inc.

The Cavalier Transportation Group has appointed Rick Brooks vice-president of business development. Operating out of Buffalo, New York, Brooks will work closely with the company’s US marketing partners, managing select corporate accounts and developing new opportunities for Cavalier, including the continued growth of their domestic US logistics business. Brooks recently held the position of senior vice-president of sales for a leading expedited carrier.
