Jervis B. Webb Company has named Jerome Lavault as international sales director for its airport systems. His initial focus will be the expansion of Webb’s airport baggage handling systems and equipment business in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Before joining Webb, Lavault worked in Siemens’ Airport infrastructure division as business development manager. Prior to that, he was sales and service director for Latin America, Canada and the Caribbean with IER, Inc. He also has worked extensively in China and India.
Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. has named Darek Nowak as vice-president of the company’s midwest region. Nowak is responsible for the company’s sales and operations in a seven-state region. Nowak has over 20 years of experience in the transportation industry and has been with Old Dominion for 13 years. He previously worked as manager of the company’s Chicago service centre.
Menlo Worldwide Logistics has appointed Marco van Walraven as director of operations, Europe and Edwin Schouten as senior manager, transportation, Europe. Van Walraven has worked for Menlo for eight years in various operational management positions for accounts across. Schouten’s career in logistics and transport spans over ten years and includes project management in warehousing for Tibbet and Britten. He was involved in services for HP, Unilver and Levi Strauss, among others. More recently, he held positions of operations manager and procurement manager of International Transport at BU International Transport and logistics director at the HZ Transport Group.
