Materials handling equipment manufacturer Daifuku Web Holding Company has made a number of senior management appointments. Brian Stewart has been promoted and now holds the titles of president, CEO and chair, as well as continuing as president of Jervis B Webb Company. He will oversee all Daifuku Webb entities including Jervis B Webb Company, Daifuku America Corporation, Elite Line Services (ELS) and Logan Teleflex, Inc. Stewart’s former role was president and co-CEO. Former Daifuku Webb co-CEO and chair Takashi Hiramoto remains as a director of the Farmington Hills, Michigan-based company. Aki Nishimura was promoted to president of Reynoldsburg, Ohio-based Daifuku America Corporation. He replaces Nobo Morita in the role. Morita will continue on with the company as an executive internal consultant. Mike Conner was promoted to president of Carrollton, Texas-based ELS.
Eric Bergmann has joined Phoenixville, Pennsylvania-based Sharp Clinical Services Inc. He will serve as senior director of global logistics for the clinical trial materials provider.
Synnex Corp, a Freemont, California-based company that provides technology solutions to support distribution and logistics operations, has a new chief financial officer. Marshall Witt joined the company after working at FedEx Corp.
Richard Rathmann has joined the board of directors of Lake Forest California-based Cryoport Inc. Cyroport offers frozen logistics services to the life science industries.
Mario Cordero has been appointed as the new chair of the US Federal Maritime Commission (FMC). He was first appointed to the FMC in the role of a commissioner in June 2011.
