Wolfgang Orgeldinger will succeed Karl Pohler who is retiring as CEO of IFCO Systems. Orgeldinger is also taking over the duties of group president of the reusable plastic crates (RPCs) segment of IFCO’s parent company, Brambles Limited. He has been with the Tampa, Florida-based logistics service provider since 2002.
Houston, Texas-based CEVA Logistics has promoted Terry Haber to senior vice-president for solution design in North America.
Thomas Nightingale is the new president of GENCO’s Transportation and Logistics services. He joins the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based 3PL after serving as president of sales and marketing for ModusLink Global Solutions Inc.
Starting in October, Robert Boots will become chief operating officer of Wichita, Kansas-based Viega LLC. He is currently the vice-president of supply chain operations at the plumbing and heating pipe joining systems manufacturing company.
Alaska Airlines has three new managing directors. John Brewer joins the Seattle, Washington-based company as managing director of e-commerce and distribution. Vikram Baskaran is the new managing director of airline operations and Troy Kaser is the managing director of customer systems.
AirBridgeCargo Airlines, based in Moscow, Russia, has hired Nagakazu Sagara as its vice-president of Japan and Korea. Katsuhiko Sagami, who formerly held the role, will act as a coach and mentor until the end of the year.
Damco, the freight forwarding division of AP Moller-Maersk Group based in the Hague, the Netherlands, has appointed Samuel Israel as regional CEO for the Latin American region.
Erickson Air-Crane Inc of Portland, Oregon has appointed Michael New as vice-president of safety, security and suppliance. He joins the heavy lift and aviation service provider after serving as senior vice-president, corporate safety, security and compliance with Korean Air.
