Who’s on the move this week? [Dec 22, 2011]

Each week, MM&D features a roundup of new appointments and position changes within the supply chain sector.

Canadian Pacific has appointed Tony Ingram and Edmond Harris to the company’s board of directors. Ingram has 38 years of rail experience and most recently served as the executive vice-president and COO at CSX Transportation Inc. Previously, he spent 33 years at Norfolk Southern Corporation, where he worked in positions ranging from management trainee to senior vice-president of transportation network and mechanical.

Harris has 44 years of railroading experience and has most recently served as senior railroad advisor to Global Infrastructure Partners. From 2010 until 2011, Mr. Harris served as COO of CP. He has served in a number of positions at CNR. Before joining CN, he worked at Illinois Central Railroad from 1997 to 1999. Harris also served as an independent rail operations consultant from 2007 to 2010.

Bernard Généreux has been appointed the federal representative on the board of directors of the Quebec Port Authority for a three-year term. Généreux has held several positions in the printing industry, leading to his current position as president and director general of Impression Soleil et Gigrafe since 1993. He was elected mayor of La Pocatière from 2005 to 2009, after which he served as federal Member of Parliament for Montmagny-L’Islet-Kamouraska-Rivière-du-Loup until May of 2011. He was a member of the parliamentary committees on Finance, Official Languages and Industry.
