Who’s on the move this week [December 10, 2013]

Air Canada Cargo has promoted Vito Cerone to the role of director of marketing and sales for the Americas. He will be supported by Matthieu Casey, who will now serve as general sales manager, Canada.

Greg Hart is the new vice-president and chief operations officer of United Continental Holdings Inc. He succeeds Pete McDonald, who is retiring from the Chicago, Illinois-based airline after 45 years. Hart will be responsible for airport operations, cargo, technical operations, network operations, flight operations, inflight service, safety and food services.

Tommy Shou, NewAge Software & Solutions

NewAge Software & Solutions, a Jamaica, New York-based provider of cloud-based applications for freight forwarding and logistics companies, has hired Tommy Shou as its western region account manager. Shou will be based in California and and will focus on sales to logistics companies involved in Asia-Pacific trade.

Greene, New York-based equipment manufacturer Raymond Corp has promoted a number of executives. Lou Callea moves into to the role of vice-president and general counsel. Erric Heitmann is the company’s new vice-president of engineering. Dan Klassen is now vice-president, quality and program management. Dave Norton is the new vice-president of customer solutions. He will be responsible for custom engineering, sales engineering, field service, training and the customer care managers

Kevin Fletcher, Kenco

Kevin Fletcher is the new senior vice-president at Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Kenco Transportation Services, where he will focus on account management, business development and strategic planning.

The Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) has added new members to its board and its committees. Scott Larsen, president R H Brown Company, and Mike Wall, president of Container Systems Inc, have been elected to the board of the Vernon Hills, Illinois-based organization. Brett Wood, president and CEO of Toyota Material Handling USA Inc, was elected to the manufacturers board of advisors. The following are the 2014 executive committee members: MHEDA president Scott Hennie (Elite Supply Chain), president-elect Mark Milovich (Lift Atlanta Inc), treasurer Scott Lee (Conveyor Solutions Inc), vice-president Mark Juelich (American Warehouse Systems LLC) and immediate past-president Jerry Weidman (Wisconsin Lift Truck).

Sebastian Scholte, TIACA

Cardinal Logistics Management, a Concord, North Carolina-based 3PL, has added three new executives to its business development team. Rich Bourque, Mike Killius, and Michael Oetjen will each hold the title of vice-president of business development.

Kimberly Jabal has been elected to the board of FedEx Corp. She has also been appointed to the Memphis, Tennessee-base company’s information technology oversight committee.

David Yokeum, TIACA

The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has added two new members to its board of directors. David Yokeum is president and CEO of WCA, a freight forwarders’ network. He is based in Bangkok, Thailand. Sebastiaan Scholte is CEO of Netherlands-based Jan de Rijk Logistics, a transportation and distribution services provider.
