Guelph, Ontario’s Pentalift has hired Michael Poeltl as marketing manager. Poeltl was hired mid-November 2013 to head up Pentalift’s marketing department, bringing over ten years of experience in the field. Well versed in the loading dock and materials handling industry, Poeltl is also an expert in social media networking and web applications.
Third-party logistics provider Kane Is Able, Inc (KANE) has named Brian Glasgow as the new Director of Campus Operations in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Glasgow will have responsibility for six distribution centres in the Stauffer Industrial Park with more than two million square feet of distribution space. Glasgow joins KANE with more than 25 years experience in warehousing and distribution. He recently served as Director of Operations for SIMOS Insourcing Solutions.
BreakthroughFuel has hired Kelly Williams as vice-president go-to-market for the transportation energy advisory firm. In her new role, Williams will be responsible for new business development and will focus on business growth through product development, new client relationships and sales process management. Before joining the firm, Williams worked as a general manager for national accounts for Schneider National, Inc.
Pacific Imperial Railroad is moving forward with plans to provide freight rail services to the Tijuana-Tecate region of Baja California by naming Charles Patterson as chief commercial officer. Patterson has 25 years of railroad experience in operations, sales and marketing roles with Class 1 railroads CSX and CN and with short line railroads Great Lakes Transportation and RailAmerica, where he was senior vice-president and chief commercial officer. Patterson is a graduate of Davidson College and the University of Virginia’s Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
