Toronto, Ontario-based GS1 Canada, a supply chain standards organization, has three new executives on its board of governors: Peter McMahon, executive vice-president and COO of Loblaw Companies, John Rothschild, CEO of Prime Restaurants Inc, and Jim Noteboom, senior vice-president, business analytics and financial services at Shoppers Drug Mart. In related news, GS1 US named Gregory Rogers as vice-president of human resources.
Lawyer Laura Safran, head of Davis LLP’s national aviation practice has been appointed to the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada (TATC). She will serve a four-year term as a part-time member.
Joanne Whittle has been named to the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) for a three year term.
Materials handling technology manufacturer Jervis B Webb Company has a new president. Kenneth Hamel was promoted to the role after serving as senior vice-president of airport baggage handling for the Farmington Hills company. Also promoted was Bill Kline. The former vice-president of project management is now executive vice-president of airport baggage handling.
Logistics solutions provider Kenco has hired Todd Johnson as senior vice-president of operations for Kenco Logistics Services. His duties at the Chattanooga, Tennessee-based company will include account management, business development and strategic planning. He joined Kenco after working at Menlo Worldwide Logistics.
Deliv, a Palo Alto, California based delivery company has hired Michael Hart as vice-president of logistics. Before joining Deliv, Hart worked for Amazon within the last mile delivery group.
