Who’s on the move this week [September 25, 2012]

The Comox Valley Airport Commission has two new members on its board of directors. Frank van Gisbergen has responsibility for the economic development society role, and will serve for a three year term. Susan Toresdahl is a member at large and will serve for two years.

Nick Jones was promoted to the newly created position of head of sales for Virgin Atlantic Cargo. He is based in the UK and reports to Dan Parker, vice-president commercial.

Santa Barbara, California-based Landmark Global, appointed Mike Graham as director of business development. He will be responsible for growing the cross-border parcel company’s  business in the western US and in international markets.

Lexington, Kentucky-based Clark Material Handling Company has promoted Rob Smith to the role of marketing supervisor. He will report to the vice-president of sales and marketing, Bo Maslanyk.

Robert Davis is the new director of business and channel development for Juniper Systems. Before joining the Logan, Utah-based handheld computer company, he was in Trimble Navigation’s mobile computing solutions division.

Jeff Parry will take on the role of interim CEO at TBS Shipping when long-term CEO Joe Royce steps down from the position on September 30. Royce will continue to serve of the board of directors. Parry has served as a director of the Hamilton, Bermuda-based shipping company since April.

Chemical and biomedical materials producer Avantor Performance Materials has a new executive vice-president of operations. In taking on the role for the Center Valley, Pennsylvania-based company, Richard White will be responsible for the company’s global manufacturing, enterprise resource planning, quality assurance, supply chain, and environmental health and safety (EHS) operations.
