Who’s on the move: February 26, 2024

TT Club

After a career of over 50 years, the last 18 of which spent as global risk assessment director at cargo handling insurance specialist TT Club, Laurence Jones has announced that 2024 will be his final year. As a qualified engineer, Jones’s 52-year career has spanned general management, operations, maintenance, design, construction, mechanical, electrical and civil engineering, industrial relations, safety, environment, risk assessment and auditing. Before joining TT, Jones worked 26 years for BHP Billiton and then spent eight years in container terminals with P&O Ports. After assisting with the integration of P&O Ports and DP World, he joined TT in December 2006 for a role that spanned internal advice and support in underwriting decisions and claims assessment. He has also energetically supported the Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA), specifically promoting safety from the perspective of loss experience, as well as with the International Association of Ports & Harbors (IAPH).

Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways has appointed Stanislas Brun vice-president cargo. Brun will be responsible for Etihad Cargo’s commercial operations including scheduled and charter flights, revenue management and network planning. He will report to Etihad Airways’s chief operating officer, Mohammad Al Bulooki. Brun joins Etihad Cargo from Geodis, where, in his role as senior vice-president global airfreight, he oversaw the global air cargo operations of the logistics and supply chain solutions provider. At Etihad Cargo, Brun will oversee all facets of the cargo commercial operations, including revenue management and network planning.

Tompkins Solutions

Tompkins Solutions has hired Steven Leavengood as senior vice-president of sales. In this role, he will be responsible for leading the business development and sales team. Leavengood has more than 25 years of domestic and international sales and management experience, with a strong background in supply chain, material handling and automation solutions. Before joining Tompkins, Leavengood held senior sales management positions at Swisslog, Interroll, Knapp and Scott Automation.
