Kuehne + Nagel has appointed Bob Mihok as president of its North American region. He succeeds John Hextall who will remain with the company until June 30, 2016 to ensure a smooth transition. Mihok will be responsible for the company’s Seafreight, Airfreight, Overland, Contract Logistics, and Integrated Logistics operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. He will work from the regional headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey. Mihok began his career with Kuehne + Nagel in Basel, Switzerland in 1982. In 1995, he was appointed deputy head of Seafreight of Kuehne + Nagel Asia Pacific. In 1998 he took over as national manager of Kuehne + Nagel Indonesia, and in 2001, he became the regional CEO of the company’s South American organization. From April 2008 Mihok led the company’s Eastern Europe organization.
Sears Canada Inc appointed Becky Penrice as executive vice-president and chief operating officer. Penrice has been senior vice-president and interim chief operating officer since February 1, 2016, and previously was SVP human resources and information technology since June 2015. She joined the company on December 1, 2013 as SVP, human resources. She has driven results for many cross-functional strategies at Sears Canada, including re-engineering initiatives in IT, store operations, loyalty and marketing operations, logistics, and general business processes. Penrice joined the Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC) in the supply chain organization. She progressed through several senior HR and operational positions spanning logistics, global sourcing and specialty retail. Penrice has a track record of implementing successful strategic transformation across all business channels improving enterprise-wide performance. She has a strong philanthropic commitment and serves as the President of the Sears Canada Charitable Foundation.
Toshiba America Business Solutions appointed Joseph Contreras to vice-president of product and solutions marketing. He is tasked with creating growth strategies for the company’s portfolio of e-STUDIO multifunction products, network document solutions and digital signage line. Contreras will also play an expanded role in global business development, revenue growth and leadership for the company’s digital signage offerings for the Toshiba America Business Solutions and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions business units. Contreras served as director of product marketing prior to accepting his current position. He was responsible for the introduction of Toshiba industry-recognized e-STUDIO multifunction products, shaping the company’s solutions portfolio and the development of numerous strategic marketing partnerships. Contreras’ tenure at the Irvine, California company began in 2000. Before joining Toshiba, Contreras was responsible for all marketing activities at SMC Networks including the company’s networking hardware solutions, wireless networking and broadband products. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Texas A&M University.
