Jozef (Jos) Opdeweegh has been appointed to the Board of Directors of APLICOR, a provider of cloud-based ERP, CRM and e-Commerce solutions. Previously, Opdeweegh served as CEO for Neovia Logistics Services, a global integrated logistics service provider. In this role, Opdeweegh managed the corporation on a global scale, and implemented the company’s strategic plans, including the carve-out, restructuring and rebranding of the company from Caterpillar to Neovia. Prior to joining Neovia in 2012, Opdeweegh served as CEO for AmeriCold Logistics and Americold Realty Trust. In addition, he served on a number of boards, most recently for Interline Brands, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and building products in North America. Opdeweegh is a graduate of the University of Limburg in Belgium where he received a Master’s Degree in applied economics, business engineering, operations research and quantitative techniques, as well as a MBA in financial mathematics.
International Business Systems (IBS), a global supplier of integrated ERP, warehouse management systems (WMS) and supply chain solutions, appointed Michael Wohlwend as General Manager of Americas. Wohlwend brings 25 years of supply chain industry experience to his position at IBS. An experienced executive, Wohlwend has held leadership positions with several well-known software and consulting companies. Most recently, he was Head of Global Cloud Services for Infor. Prior to that, Wohlwend served in senior leadership positions at SAP America for six years, including Head of Americas Cloud Unification and VP of Services for SAP’s Midwest Region. Wohlwend also provided supply chain solutions for more than 30 top companies in his work with consulting and software firms. In addition to being a frequent industry article author and speaker, Wohlwend has been an Executive Board Member of WERC since 2008.
Seegrid, a maker of vision-based autonomous industrial vehicles, has appointed Tim Spang joins Seegrid as vice-president of operations and Sean Stetson as director of product development, bringing more than 40 years of collective experience in technology innovation and business operations. Spang will oversee Seegrid’s supply chain operations and all aspects of the production, assembly, and fulfillment process. Before joining Seegrid, he served as the director of Pittsburgh operations for Haemonetics, where he improved production efficiency at the corporation’s largest manufacturing and distribution locations. Spang received his Master’s degree in Finance and International Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business in 2006. Joining Seegrid from Google, Stetson is an expert in vision systems and mobile technology. He will play a major role in leading Seegrid’s product management and strategy, with a focus on vehicle and vision system hardware and software. Before joining Seegrid, Stetson was director for mobile imaging in Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects (ATAP) division. His leadership experience at one of the world’s most innovative companies adds tremendous value and insight to Seegrid’s product development team.
